Mont Kiara is a northern suburb of Kuala LumpurMalaysia. It is strategically located at the heart of Klang Valley. Located adjacent to Sri Hartamas, Mont Kiara is only a 15-minutes drive to either Petaling Jaya or downtown Kuala Lumpur. Taman Tun Dr. Ismail is only 5 to 10 minutes drive via the Penchala Link tunnel on Sprint Expressway.

Mont Kiara is an extremely successful global condominium township with full broadband services for residential and business users - a first in Malaysia. Complemented by a resort office-retail complex, the strategically located Mont Kiara enclave in Bukit Kiara attracts a high expatriate population, representing more than 30 nationalities; particularly the Japanese and Koreans, who comprise almost half the total residential population. Mont Kiara, an area known for its large number of Korean expatriates, has recently seen a huge increase of Korean restaurants, retailers and grocery stores around the township area.

Mont Kiara is also close to an equestrian club, a golf club, a stadium, business centres with banking and other facilities, as well as a Japanese school about 15 minutes’ drive away.

Plaza Mont Kiara is a resort office-retail complex in Mont Kiara that attracts a high number of expatriate population, representing more than 30 nationalities; particularly the Japanese and Koreans, who comprise almost half the total residential population.

Plaza Mont Kiara organizes the Mont Kiara Funday "Arts, Bric-a-Brac & Crafts" (ABC) Market launched in March 2000, showcasing 100 exhibitor stalls spread over a 38,000 sq ft (3,500 m2) fountain courtyard in its plaza. The ABC Market epitomises the "Made-in-Asia" dream featuring an amalgam of culture, arts and crafts where there are antiques, books, vintage apparel, clothing, household decorative items, educational toys, children wears, crafts, jewellery, bags and shoes, potted plants, fruits, and Asian food. The daytime market is held on Sundays. The ABC Market attracts at least 3,000 people throughout the day. Operated by Sunrise Berhad, it serves mainly to promote Malaysian arts and crafts to the public. Over the years the market has become part of the lifestyle of residents in Plaza Mont Kiara. A night market called Fiesta Nite at Plaza Mont Kiara is held at the fountain courtyard every Thursday night.


The area is served by two international schools, the British Garden International School, and the American Mont' Kiara International School. French International School is nearby too.


The Sunrise Community Fun Ride is a free bus service covering the Mont’Kiara vicinity and commercial developments – Plaza Mont’Kiara, Solaris Mont'Kiara and Solaris Dutamas. Launched in September 2009, the bus averages over 100 passengers a day and ferries residents from Sunrise-managed condominiums.

Travelling to KL Sentral gets a whole lot easier with the introduction of PUBLIKA SHUTTLE on Monday, 6 August 2012. This dedicated shuttle makes 6 trips at two-hourly intervals from 10.00am, daily.

To hop on, please show your resident card or 'I am Publikan' card.

Both shuttles run Monday through to Saturday from 10.00am to 9.00pm excluding public holidays.
